Application engineering

Fiber and fabric requirements by end use

Apparel, denim, bedding and interior textiles apply different stresses, care routes and acceptance methods. Fiber identity informs selection, but construction, finish, color, seams, prototype and production conditions complete the decision.

Apparel denim bedding and interior textile applications
01

Apparel Knits

Yarn count, knit construction, GSM, width, stretch, recovery, pilling, dimensional stability and care.

Printing, dyeing, heat, sewing and laundering may alter hand or dimensions. Record direction, cycles, wash/dry sequence and prototype stage.

02

Wovens & Denim

Warp/weft, blend, weave, weight, dye route, garment wash, growth, shade and seam behavior.

Fabric approval before garment processing does not cover every wash recipe. Retain construction, color standard, processing route and post-wash acceptance.

03

Bedding

Yarn and weave, GSM, usable width, hand, colorfastness, shrinkage, laundering and finished-size control.

Finished dimensions depend on cutting, sewing, care and construction tolerances. Evaluate the fabric and completed article at their appropriate gates.

04

Interiors & Rugs

Construction, pile or surface, backing, GSM, width, abrasion, colorfastness, cleaning and traffic context.

Fiber identity alone does not establish wear class or cleaning response. Method, cycles, endpoint, backing and intended placement remain essential.

Methods depend on the decision

A method, specimen, conditioning, cycles, endpoint and units are required before unlike results are compared. A report for one construction, shade or finish does not approve another.
